I left university over nine years ago but it doesn’t feel like it’s taken me nearly a decade to get here. I like to think I’ve gained many skills along the way. Excluding the time when I drove doctors at night to help put myself through university amongst other mundane jobs that helped me become who I am today; below are a few examples from my professional life. |

I love teaching and not sounding big-headed, I do believe I do it well. If it’s anything to go by, my students usually like me and enjoy my lessons. I occasionally get gifted portraits of me like the one above. |

Ambitions keep me going. After obtaining my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), I challenged myself to take up a management role within the first two years of completing my NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) year. |

No, I haven’t ruled a country… yet. I think leadership and management go hand in hand but are different at the same time. Leading requires a little more than good management skills. |
