I left university over nine years ago but it doesn’t feel like it’s taken me nearly a decade to get here. I like to think I’ve gained many skills along the way. Excluding the time when I drove doctors at night to help put myself through university amongst other mundane jobs that helped me become who I am today; below are a few examples from my professional life.

I love teaching and not sounding big-headed, I do believe I do it well. If it’s anything to go by, my students usually like me and enjoy my lessons. I occasionally get gifted portraits of me like the one above.

The teacher

Ambitions keep me going. After obtaining my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), I challenged myself to take up a management role within the first two years of completing my NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) year.

The manager

The leader

Text Box: ICT teachers come in all shapes and sizes and they also come from may different professional backgrounds like Maths, Media etc. Either way, you can’t have ICT teachers without knowledge of ICT.
