ATIF THE TRAVELLER |

Where I lay my head is home. My favourite travel buddy is my wife, or at least that’s the official stance. I believe our travelling experiences has raised our understanding of different cultures, enabling us to communicate with people from multi-cultural backgrounds with greater sensitivity. So far I have visited 20 countries: Morocco, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Bahrain, Egypt, Belgium, Italy, France, India, Qatar, Syria, Jordan, Denmark, Pakistan, UAE, Spain, Palestine and Sweden so far. I know it sounds a little unrealistic, but some day I’d love to travel to every single country on the planet. I’m working my way up that list. Just in case you ended up counting the countries and are one short, I haven’t listed the UK; because of course, I grew up there. As you’ve probably realised, I love travelling. At one point I had even thought of becoming a travel journalist, but didn’t think I could handle tasting some of the foods that Michael Palin has tried on his ventures. For the time being I’ve settled with my travel blog. It’s an alternative to journalism and more doable as life for educationalists can get hectic. If you want to know my thoughts about Jordan and Egypt, check out www.wasapninjordan.wordpress.com and www.wasapninegypt.wordpress.com and incase you’re not familiar with the lingo, ’wasapnin’ is an alternative for ‘What’s Happening’. I am also a moderator for the Jordan forum on www.expatfocus.com and contribute on www.expat-blog.com
