Ambitions keep me going. After obtaining my QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), I challenged myself to take up a management role within the first two years of completing my NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) year. And I’m pleased to say I did. A good manager needs a combination of many different skills. Below are the factors that I think make a good manager and qualities that I have worked on. I’ve listed them in order of importance. I don’t think there is a right or wrong in the order, however, it’s the way I like to see it. |
