I am an ambitious individual and strive for professionalism and professional development. As a teacher and educationalist I have attended plenty of INSETs along the way. However, the ‘umph factor’ in my career and professional development has been the use of Action-Research as a tool to measure, evaluate and improve one’s own practice; subsequently benefitting the overall standards of practice at the work place.

As part of my Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Education Practice, Leadership and Management in Schools, I undertook an Action-Research Project (ARP) entitled ‘How can I improve the teaching and learning of my pupils through the use of ICT?’ For this project, I focused particularly on the use of E-learning but have since initiated further investigative projects to better my professional capabilities.
